Prisms 01:32
Shattered then gathered, dissolved and revealed. Here’s my true colours, lo and behold a spectrum appears. Do you trust your vision, are we the images we try to project? This black lined with blue are waters to drown in; a depthless shade without beginning or end, so honey let’s wade on in.

I am a mere coincidence, something hardly happening. I am but a shadow on your wall. You are a landslide carrying a trail of debris and always leaking some sweet blood. Your gentle threats became soothing like music to my ears, but the senselessness that followed them were disgraceful my dear, and here the curtains must fall. In a head-on collision one of us will disappear. There will be nothing decent about it. Your gentle threats became soothing, like music to my ears. The senselessness that followed them were disgraceful my dear, and here the curtains must fall.

Recklessness 03:17
This emptiness, I could fill it with loneliness or better yet with my trusty old recklessness, and swing it like a wrecking ball at your heart. It’s so effortless to carry out vengeance with a clouded mind that’s been blinded by sadness. There’s no light in the darkest hour. There’s only us, the very least of us. Queue the apologies and endless empty vows. Fault and blame, did they ever mean anything? I don’t know but I’ll let it go for one last time.

Slow Fuse 05:54
As I went taking flight, did you see the shattered glass, the disarray? How the lighting shifted and our blood turned pale. I said we’re not out of the woods yet, not even over the crest. So hush now, hush now. I was the fix-point of your eye. Held dear and doubted, second to none, but barely held together with tension wire, I kept my secrets sealed and bottled in a glass cabinet. Like a slow fuse, coming loose. When I break, when I make my release, it’s an open field and there will be no mercy, no decency, no grace, no logic, only malfunctioning. How the lighting shifted and our blood turned pale. I said we’re not out of the woods yet, not even over the crest. So hush now, hush now. When I break, when I make my release, it’s an open field and there will be no mercy.

This Thin 02:49
I could turn back into dust by just one slip of your tongue. I would wait patiently for your grace to be laid upon me. So anxiously and aimlessly, do you know the strain of being worn this thin, until your vanishing in the bare light of day? Perhaps at a different time, on different terms I’d catch the light of your eye. Until then, consider me; a false tone, lingering; so anxiously and aimlessly, do you know the strain of being worn this thin, until your vanishing in the bare light of day?

Meanwhile 03:15
While you gathered your thoughts I took a drive to get lost, to stay out of the house while your spirits gave out. I didn’t want to fight, just ease my worried mind. Don’t take it all too hard. It’s just lately I’ve started falling apart. Does the light in this room form a pattern to you? I’ve seen it shape into a record of our abuse and benevolence. I’ve seen it burst into flames, and its ashes resurrect our names. I’ve seen us born again. When I returned to the house every sound had turned dull. Behind curtains and blinds I found the taste of blood in my mouth.

End Scene 02:48
It’s so clear and commonplace, obvious and evident – before a house of full seats we’ll play our end scene, and here come the lights flashing. It’s too late for amends and apologies. When it’s done, we’ll take a bow for a race finished but in fact not that well run, and then it’s time to go home. When you’re halfway out the door, will you halt and linger in the thought of what you might be walking away from? I could’ve been your lock and key or your sweet relief. You could’ve been my honey bee, just as well as the death of me.

Honey, we’ll never be free of our particular duality. I guess we were wired in a certain way as particles and waves. What troubles me is to stay unreleased of this bond as our hearts race the first light at dawn, rising up in waves and particles. Seems we can’t be together without being apart. We’re an uncommon phenomenon filled to the brim with question marks. Always left open-ended as waves and particles.
